It seems having an outdoor kitchen is hot right now! Grilling season is just around the corner and it got me thinking that it’s time to start looking for outdoor kitchen inspiration! The thought of spending time with family and friends outside with a good meal is beyond appealing right now as we ride out the end of winter.
The first gift I ever gave my husband was a black Weber grill, similar to the one below (but am sure not nearly as nice)! We used that thing for years and am not ready to begin the planning process of our outdoor space. Aside from a patio what we’d really enjoy is an outdoor kitchen.
Ok, just to be clear, we are not installing an outdoor kitchen this year but we can pretend. In the future, an outdoor cooking area is something we’d both like. Sooo, I thought it would be fun to take a look at all the great ideas out there for grilling. Check out this nifty little set up from Better Homes & Garden.
Do you watch DIY Network’s Yard Crashers? The premise is a designer and a team crash a person’s yard in need of some TLC. The two features about this crash that drew me in are the privacy screen and pergola…I have a thing for pergolas.
Unique design ideas and price points abound when looking for inspiration! I love how the stylish the above outdoor kitchen keeps it simple with clean lines and colors. A little ingenuity goes a long way and the photo proves a great grilling space can look fabulous without breaking the bank.
Ok, this is one heck of an outdoor kitchen and must be for a professional chef. I like the layout and how it appears to be tucked away executing the best use of space. They also have a privacy screen but brought in some evergreens. Very pretty!
Designer Lauren Liess constructed a cinder block foundation combined with a concrete counter top. Using cinder block allows a homeowner to tackle the project in phases. Start with the cinder block, paint it or consider installing stone or tile over it at a later date. I believe the designers eventually plans to paint the bar to match her house color. Check out her website, you will not be disappointed!
Where to start with all the awesomeness of this amazing outdoor kitchen idea? The overall simplicity of design is superb! That smoker grill is awesome! There is plenty of space to the side of the smoker to handle all the entertaining essentials. That large storage basket can house utensils, plates, matches or even dirty dishes! Of course, a designated area for wood storage cannot be overlooked. The firewood storage is perfectly convenient, but I like the texture it provides.
Another space for one serious chef. The overall cleanliness of this draws me in. Someone who loves to grill designed this beauty! Don’t you love how cozy it all feels? It’s compact, beautifully chosen materials for the granite countertop and tile patio combined with the added flowers!
The entire space is perfection. The design is perfection and frankly, the pool puts it over the top! My guess is this is probably a pool house and not a cute tiny house! Nothing appears to have been overlooked planning this beauty! Notice how the bar top appears to have brackets, allowing the bar top to fold down. Those bar stools will easily stack for storage. Check out that window and of course, the pergola! My word!
For sure this is entertaining central for the warm months. The outdoor kitchen has everything a hostess would need: grill, fridge and ample countertop for serving. The other design elements make me want to snuggle in on the furniture with a good book and laze the day away.
So this photo doesn’t highlight the entire kitchen but you can imagine how lovely it must be provided the glimpse we get of materials used. How they hid the storage area for all things campfire is ingenious. There is plenty of texture going on so hiding the firestarters is such a smart move! Those Duraflame boxes never look pretty!
Ahhh, the pergola again. You see the theme of what I like, right? This designer used a clever hiding spot also! What is smart about this particular design is the countertop placement between the two grills! Those large light fixtures add so much! I always wonder why so many people have undersized lighting fixtures installed? Not in this case and it looks amazing!
This outdoor kitchen is gorgeous! I mean, COME ON!!! I dream of having something similar when my children are older. I guess we’d all sit around, drink wine and have fancy appetizers. Now, why I image that in the future is beyond me because nothing could be further from how we roll. I know dang good and well it would be burgers and brats! But today we are pretending …remember????
Honestly, it would be amazing to do something like any of the above inspiration photos! They are all beautiful. I love how each kitchen space serves the same purpose, but each idea has been executed differently and appropriately for each of the fortunate homeowners! Are these outdoor kitchen designs appealing to you or do you prefer the comforts of the indoors?
